When you buy a MyCharityDB product, your transaction is with Paddle. Paddle collects payment, issues your receipt, and manages any refund requests. Your consumer rights are protected by Paddle's refund policy, which applies globally and reflects applicable consumer protection laws in your country. The key points are summarised below.
All transactions are non-refundable and non-exchangeable unless required by applicable law or granted at Paddle's discretion.
Paddle may issue a refund at their discretion if a request is submitted within 14 days of your purchase date. Submitting a request within that period does not guarantee a refund — each request is reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Paddle may approve a full refund, a partial refund, or decline the request.
If you are a consumer based in the UK, EU, EEA or Switzerland, you have a 14-day statutory right to withdraw from some digital content and service contracts. This right applies to one-off purchases and to the first payment of a subscription. It does not apply to digital content that has started to be downloaded or used where you have given express consent to waive your withdrawal rights.
Consumers in other regions may have additional rights under local law — including Turkey, Israel, South Korea, Brazil, China, Canada and Singapore. Paddle applies the highest applicable standard for your country. See Paddle's full refund policy for country-specific details.
If a product has a persistent technical defect or is materially different from how it was described, you are entitled to a remedy under applicable consumer protection law. In this case:
All refund requests must go through Paddle. You can do this by:
If approved, refunds are processed to the original payment method within 14 days. Access to the product will cease upon a refund being issued.
Nothing in Paddle's policy or this page limits your mandatory consumer rights under the law of your country. If local consumer protection laws give you additional or non-waivable rights, the highest level of protection always applies.
For the MyCharityDB SQL upgrade tier, monthly subscriptions can be cancelled at any time after the 3-month minimum term with one month's notice. Annual subscriptions run for the full 12-month period. Cancellation stops future billing but does not entitle you to a refund of fees already paid for completed periods, except where required by applicable law or Paddle's refund policy. To cancel, use the "Manage subscription" link in your billing email or contact us and we will assist.
